Hello sis, sila perkenalkan sedikit tentang diri anda.
Hello sis, please introduce a liltle bit about yourself.

- syafiqah salleh, 25 y/o medical graduate. An ambivert who is adventurous and loves to explore the nature. Goals oriented person.

Boleh beritahu kami,bagaimana boleh minat dalam larian?
Can you tell us, Why do you like to run?

- Started running in 2017, was quite obese back then and being an asthmatic patient it was not a good combo. So decided to lose some weight so i can laugh all i want without getting asthma attack every now and then. After i lost some weight i see a lot of benefits in running. I studied better, my perspective in life changed to positive side. I met positive and encouranging runners a long the way. I love their spirit and how they push each other to accomplish their fitness goals.

What do you like to do when you’re not running ?

- read books, hiking or lift some weights 🤭

What are your future running goals and ambitions?
Apa sasaran dan impian anda dalam larian?

- better timing in half marathon, completing full marathon which i should be doing this year but thanks to covid-19 that didn’t happen 😅. Long term plan is definitely triathlon.

Apa yang anda lakukan untuk kekalkan motivasi berlari semasa Pkpb?
What have you been doing to stay motivated during the Pkpb?

- A drop in VO2 max is motivating 🤣 I associate myself with other runners who are better than me. When i see them run, i told myself i can do that too i just have to be discipline enough.

Having a running journal helps too. When you see your progress becoming better, you feel excited to achieve more.

I see myself as an avid runner rather than just recreational runner. Once i see myself as avid runner my discipline changed. I know what i have to do as a runner, its more like a routine and being discipline rather than finding for motivations. Motivations might not be there but just wear your shoes and get moving. Focus on your breathing and posture, be present enough that you won’t even realise you already hit 10km.
